  2. Multi-path, multi-author story-writing system

  4.  VariTale enables several people to work together in writing a story.
  5.  However, in contrast to a traditional collaboration, each author may at any
  6.  time branch off from the main story and create an alternative version that
  7.  suits him or her better.  This is also entertaining for the reader, who may
  8.  find that the story has taken a disappointing turn and would prefer
  9.  something different.

  11.  VariTale can be run as is, or as a "door" under a BBS, so the authors can
  12.  write their chapters via modem.  VariTale is multi-user compatible.
